In 2023, I set out to create a scholarship to bring more young people—especially those from underrepresented backgrounds—into engineering. Because of government regulation, university structure, and the busy nature of life itself, it took time before the plans came to fruition. Now that UW–Madison has finalized its position on scholarship distribution, this goal has become a reality!

Thanks to the generosity of supporters and benefactors, my sponsorship of a STAR (Strategic Targeted Achievers Recognition) Scholarship at UW–Madison has officially launched. STAR Scholarships aim to bring students from diverse backgrounds into the university’s prestigious engineering program. This particular STAR Scholarship will support a student pursuing a degree in Materials Science & Engineering, helping to equip the next generation of diverse engineering talent with the tools and resources they need to thrive.
